Carr Hall
Carr Hall has been designated as the “overflow” housing option for 2012 - 2013.
What this means is, that subject to anticipated spring housing needs, we may elect to close Carr Hall at the end of the fall semester. This decision will be made in the latter half of the fall semester. Affected students will be notified in advance and we will work with them individually, offering them priority assignment to a different residence hall for the spring. Moving assistance will be available to Carr Hall students if needed. Students are still eligible to select Carr Hall as an assignment preference for fall. Additional information will provided to Carr Hall residents during the fall semester.
Don’t confuse “date” with “dated.”
Carr Hall may be one of the original residence halls on campus, but it’s also one of the most recently renovated, including total bathroom remodels during the summer of 2009! The stylish décor of the residence hall is youthful and contemporary, and residents of this building will still be able to enjoy playing games or enjoying the big screen TV together in the main floor lounge area or cooking group meals in the large, modern kitchen facility on the second floor.
Carr Hall, which can be found on the campus map, is on the west end of campus near the library, University Center and Carr Education-Fine Arts Building. Several academic buildings are also just a short walk away. Carr Hall is available to both first-year and returning students.
Traditional suite-style rooms include:
- Moveable furniture that includes a bed, dresser and desk for each student.
- Spacious closets.
- Two rooms share an adjoining bathroom.
- Micro-fridge unit in each room.
- Expanded basic cable TV service.
- Carpeted rooms.
- Two Ethernet connections per room for easy Internet and e-mail access.
