Concho Hall
At this time, we expect that Concho Hall will NOT be in use for student housing for 2012 - 2013. Should this change, we will post updates and attempt to contact affected students.
Overflow Housing for 2011-2012.
With the planned addition of our newest residence hall, Plaza Verde, for Fall 2011, Concho Hall has been designated for use as temporary and overflow housing for Fall 2011.
As designated overflow housing, Concho Hall will not be available as a building selection as part of the on-line building and assignment selection process. Students assigned to Concho Hall as temporary assignments, will be given priority for reassignment to other residence halls on campus as spaces become available over the summer and into the fall semester if necessary. Students assigned to overflow rooms in Concho Hall will initially be billed the Plaza Verde room rate. Their student accounts will be adjusted as soon as permanent assignment can be made. By using the anticipated higher Plaza Verde room rate for initial billing, most students will see a decrease (or only moderate increase) to their permanent room charges when they are moved to permanent assignments in other buildings. Students assigned to overflow housing will receive additional information over the summer about how temporary assignment will affect their bill.
A laid-back community close to the action
We hear it all the time: Concho Hall is a great place to meet people and have fun. The staff at Concho Hall helps the 400 or so residents adjust to university living, make new friends and find their niche on campus. Concho Hall features double rooms in a suite-style arrangement.
Residents of this co-ed residence hall (men and women may be neighbors, but not roommates) enjoy access to various amenities, such as a pool table, huge projection TV/multi-media presentation system, floor lounges with 42-inch flat-panel TVs, game tables and comfortable furnishings. When students need a quiet place to meet or study, they can use any of the nine dedicated study rooms in the building.
Concho Hall is conveniently located adjacent to the Food Service Center, is near the 24-hour computer lab in the Math-Computer Science Building and is close to other academic buildings. Concho Hall’s “middle of the action” location also gives residents easy access to major recreation facilities, including the Pavilion, Intramural Fields, Junell Center and Center for Human Performance. - Built-in beds and desks.
- A large individual closet and storage space.
- A bathroom shared with an adjoining room.
- Expanded basic cable TV service.
- Two Ethernet connections per room for easy Internet and e-mail access.
Designated single rooms (some 9th and 10th floor rooms only) include:
