  • All Day: Delta Zeta: Volunteering at San Angelo Riverfest
    The 2014 River Fest takes place on September 19 - 20 beginning with a Friday Night Concert at the Bill Aylor Memorial RiverStage featuring Los Tejanos, Ricky Valenz, Grupo Massore, and Los Palominos with gates opening at 6pm.  Saturday events begin at 9:00 am with a Color-Up 5K Run starting at Fort Concho Parade Grounds and ending at El Paseo Pavillion.  The Lily Fest starts at 9:30 am - 6pm at Civic League Park (presentations at 10:15am).  The Golf Tournament at Santa Fe Golf Course starts 10 am - 12 pm (3 player scramble).  Art In Uncommon Places will feature“Fairy Doors Tour” from 10:30 am - 12 pm.  Kids Courtfeatures activities for kids: petting zoo, pony rides, games, inflatables, etc at the Neff’s Area from 10:30 am - 7 pm.  Included at Neff’s Area is a Car Show, Vendors, Bocce Ball and Chess 10:30 am - 7 pm.  Canoe Races on river from Celebration Bridge to Irving from 11 am - 1 pm.  Street Performers will be on hand from 11 am - 7 pm as well as aVega Washer-Pitching Tournament at “The Bosque”.  AChili Cook-off in the Neff’s Area starts at 11 am - 4 pm. Paddle Boats, Canoes and Kayaks at Celebration Bridge from 1 pm - 7 pm.    Soundstage Artists & Songwriters Assoc. at Chadbourne Stage 1 pm - 7pm.  Saturday night concert at the RiverStage features Whiskey Skyline, Chris Brazeal Band, Cory Michaels and Judson Cole Band, from 7 pm - 12 am.  “Fairy Doors Glow in the Dark Tour”7:45pm-8:30pm.   Downtown San Angelo Glow Pub Walkfrom 7:45pm - 9:00 pm.
  • 4:00pm - 6:00pm: Salsa Recipe & Tasting Contest
    The 2nd Annual Salsa Recipe & Tasting Contest will be held during Ram Jam as apart of Hispanic Heritage Week.

    Angelo State University will host a concert by pianist Michael Schneider, also featuring clarinetist Dr. Tim Bonenfant of the ASU music faculty and Italian cellist Francesco Mastromatteo, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.

    Pre-trip meetings are required for all trip participants and wait-listed participants.  This meeting covers what you will need to bring and what you need to leave behind.  It also gives us a chance to meet you, get some forms filled out, and find out why you are interested in the trip.  Pre-trip meetings are open to trip participants, or those wishing to attend the trip. Please, bring a copy of your health insurance information.

  • 5:00pm: Lambda Chi Alpha: Watermelon Bash
    Lambda Chi Alpha is hosting it’s first annual Watermelon Bash. This event is a fundraiser that supports Feeding America, Lambda Chi Alpha’s national philanthropy. Teams of six (6) people can sign up to participate in a variety of activities that include watermelons!
