COLONEL MICHAEL K. BUCK

Michael Buck is the commander,
Colonel
Buck entered the Air Force in 1981 after graduating from the Air Force
Academy. His career includes
operational tours in the F-111 and A-10 including a deployment to Operations
DESERT SHIELD / STORM / SOUTHERN WATCH. He has held a variety of positions including F-111 Operational Test and Evaluation and Air Staff expert on Air Force Worldwide Munitions Requirements while at the Pentagon. He culminated his operational career flying the A-10 while serving as Commander, 51st Operations Support Squadron. After a year in residence at Air War
College, he returned to the Pentagon for two tours in the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Personnel and
Readiness, and then moving to the Joint Staff.
