    For the 20th consecutive year, Det 847 cadets paid tribute to our nation’s veterans with their annual flag retreat and vigil.  This year’s guest speaker was Navy CAPT (Ret) J.C. Smith, a Vietnam veteran and founder of Top Gun.

    Dylan J. Meador, a cadet colonel in Angelo State University’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 847, has been named the Air Force Association’s (AFA) 2014 Outstanding ROTC Cadet of the Year.
