Honoring Dr. Roy E. Moon 1977-2007

Establishment of the West Texas Medical Associates Distinguished Lectureship in Science honoring Dr. Roy E. Moon:

In 1976, five physicians from the Department of Pediatrics and Obstetrics-Gynecology of the West Texas Medical Associates established the Roy E. Moon Distinguished Lectureship in Science at ASU to show their respect and esteem for their late colleague. Today, the Lectureship is underwritten by an annual grant to ASU from the member of West Texas Medical Associates.

The Lectureship brings a scientist of national prominence to the ASU campus each year for public lectures, colloquia, visits to classes, and informal discussions. the academic or professional specialty of the scientist is to be on in one of the basic sciences emphasized in the ASU curriculum or in an appropriate medical field.
