Named for retired U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, the center’s key objective is to develop a community-focused Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence that is a regional hub serving all of Texas.

The Kay Bailey Hutchison Center for Cyber Intelligence, Innovation, and Security Studies equips students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to be the best cybersecurity or culture- and national security-focused graduates.

Security Studies Initiatives

ASU’s Department of Security Studies and Criminal Justice uses world-class faculty and advanced teaching technologies to educate military and civilian students using cutting-edge, culturally based education that provides them with marketable skills when graduating from our disciplines.

In concert with district and campus leaders, STEM support staff and teachers, ASU creates a culture of cybersecurity through educational curriculum and activities.

Regional Security Operations Center

We’ve partnered with the Texas Department of Information Resources to pilot the RSOC initiative providing cybersecurity services to local, regional and state entities. Qualified ASU students can also gain marketable cybersecurity work experience through our paid internship program.
