Tricorps Security is now hiring part-time workers to provide site security for the upcoming San Angelo oil/gas field boom. Zach Poling from Dallas called me to personally ask if we could share this information with our students. They will adjust work shifts to be student friendly.
Hours: 36 per week
Shifts: 12/12 hour shifts – but will adjust to suit student class schedules and days are also flexible.
Requirements: Take the Level 2 Private Security course (8 hours) and pass the exam. No felonies on record.
Immediate need: have to have employees on site on 1 February.
Potential: Some areas may require Level 3 Private Security (armed officers) in which case the pay $18/hr.
This offers a long term opportunity for all our students as they expect to need security guards for years to come.
Good opportunity to put something on a resume that is appropriate to future employment opportunities.
Employees have to buy their own uniforms, but get all safety gear, patches, etc. from the company. Work may be in or near town. Some work will be in remote areas at drilling sites. Employees can study while on the job. That includes using personal computers and tablets (no guarantee of internet access at the sites as some will be remote).
