Tutoring Services

The ASU Tutor Center offers academic support for a variety of subjects and disciplines such as accounting, anatomy, biology, business, chemistry, economics, history, nursing, physics, and physiology. Tutoring is free to all ASU students. ASU Tutoring offers broad-based study skill strategies and techniques to promote critical thinking and time management. Students are seen on a walk-in basis—no appointments are necessary—and individual tutoring sessions will last about an hour.

For support in a subject not currently listed, please click the Request for Tutoring button on the left and the complete the request form.

Tutors

Our tutors are multi-disciplined, multi-talented students who are highly recommended by academic departments across campus.

Student Expectations

To ensure each tutoring session is beneficial and productive, students should do their class assignments before visiting. Students should come prepared with all necessary materials (textbook, syllabus, class notes, writing material, etc.) and have specific questions prepared for their tutors.

These are a few things to keep in mind when you seek the help of tutors:

  • Tutors will not do your homework.
  • Tutors will not give you the answers.
  • Tutors will help you review your work.
  • Tutors will explain concepts, rules and methods that you do not understand.

College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA)

The ASU Tutor Center is a certified tutor program with International Tutor Program Certification credentials from the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). This official status allows the program to issue tutor and SI leader certification at Level I/Regular Tutor, Level II/Advanced Tutor and Level III/Master Tutor.
