  • Guidelines for Equipment Checkout

    Guidelines for Equipment Check-out:

    1. Current students, faculty, staff, and activity card holders are eligible to check-out and use the equipment if they are at least 16 years of age or supervised by parent/guardian.
    2. Outdoor Adventures will require all patrons to sign a risk waiver prior to checking out a kayak.
    3. Although eligible activity card holders have authorization to check-out and use the equipment, the faculty/staff host must be present with the activity card holder the entire time the equipment is used.  The host will be responsible for any damage or improper use of the equipment by the activity card holder.

Other issues that everyone needs to be aware of are:

    1. The equipment may only be checked-out for a single day and must be returned fifteen minutes before the Lake House facility is closed. Equipment checked-out longer than a day, or taken off-property must go through Equipment Rental program.
    2. Eligible patrons must present a valid identification card to use the equipment.
    3. Risk waiver forms must be signed by the patron before a kayak can be used.
