Indoor Rock Climbing Gym

Have you ever been rock climbing before? Experience the culture of rock climbing at Outdoor Adventures’ brand new rock climbing gym. The rock climbing gym is a part of the new addition to the Center for Human Performance. Manufactured by Entre Prises, a world-premier artificial climbing wall manufacture, the gym boasts a forty-foot tall pinnacle and a twelve-foot tall bouldering wall. Both climbing surfaces incorporate Entre Prises’ proprietary free-form skin and are stained to look like natural, West-Texas rocks. The facility holds eleven top-rope anchors and nearly twenty routes of varying difficulty. With fresh routes put up every week, and specially trained staff there to assist you, the new rock climbing gym promises to be an epic adventure for any skill level.

Hours of Operation: Fall - Spring 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.       Sat - Thu Summer I and II 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.       Sat - Thu Location: The indoor rock climbing gym is located in the new addition of the Center for Human Performance.

Access and Eligibility

Access to the Climbing Gym is limited. Valid identification is required to enter the premises, and a waiver of liability must be on-file.

University Recreation offers a climbing gym pass available for purchase, for affiliated user groups (e.g. UREC Pass holders, etc.).  These passes must be purchased during normal business hours, and are valid on Saturdays only.  For a full list of affiliations recognized by University Recreation, please visit the Memberships page.  Additional information on the Saturday User Group Pass may be found at the bottom of the Memberships page, or by clicking here.
