 UREC Pass

Faculty/Staff members must purchase a UREC Pass in order to utilize the Center for Human Performance.

Who is eligible:

  • Faculty/Staff, Spouse, Significant Other, Children Living at Same Residence under the age of 19

Cost:

  • $120/person per year
    Faculty/Staff have two options: 1) Pay the entire amount upfront or 2) The fee may be payroll deducted over a twelve-month period.
    UREC Pass registration/payroll deduction form and submit to the Center for Human Performance (CHP), Room 112. Deadline for applying Payroll deduction is in August, prior to the fiscal year, unless you are a new ASU employee. New ASU employee must submit payroll deduction form within the first month of employment.

    Faculty/Staff sponsor must purchase a UREC Pass in order to purchase for other eligible family members. If the faculty/staff member chooses not to purchase a UREC Pass for their family members, a $5.00 family pass can be purchased per member per day.

Facility Access:

  • UREC Pass holders may utilize most UREC facilities, including the weight room, indoor track, gymnasium, racquetball courts, swimming pool and locker rooms, but not UREC programming.  UREC programming not open to UREC Pass holders includes intramural sports, fitness classes and outdoor adventures (climbing gym, kayak check-out, trips, and workshops). In order for Faculty/Staff members to participate in UREC programming, a Program Pass must be purchased.

 Program Pass Options (for Faculty/Staff only):

  • $75/year per person - Intramural Sports
  • $75/year per person - Fitness Classes
  • $75/year per person - Outdoor Adventures including climbing gym and kayak check-out
  • $180/year per person - Total Programming (Intramural Sports, Fitness Classes, and Outdoor Adventures)

Guest Privilege:

  • One paid guest per UREC Pass Holder for $5.00 per day for facility access only

Where to purchase:

  • UREC Pass and Program Pass, Family Pass, and Guest Pass will be sold Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the UREC Office (325) 942-2034 in the Center for Human Performance.

 Activity Cards

Who is eligible:

  • ASU employee, spouse/guest and dependent children living at home under the age of 19.

Cost: (tax liability not included)

Facility Access:

  • Activity card holders may access the lake house and SAY Complex. Activity card holders may utilitize the kayaks; however, this opportunity does not extend to guests.

Program Pass Option:

  • None

Guest Privilege:

  • Up to 4 guests per cardholder for facility use only

Where to purchase:

  • Activity cards will be sold Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the ASU Ticket Office (325) 942-2583.

 UREC Military Pass

Who is eligible:

  • Only military (active or retired) and their dependants may purchase.
  • everyone over 12 must present military ID
  • children under 12 must be continuously supervised by guardian

Purchase Options:

  • Daily Pass - $7.00 per person (valid day of purchase only)
  • Weekly Pass - $20.00 per person (valid 7 days from purchase)
  • Monthly Pass - $50.00 per person (valid 30 days from purchase)

 UREC Summer Activity Pass

Who is eligible:

  • Students not enrolled during the summer semesters but who were enrolled in the previous Spring semester and have registered for the upcoming Fall semester

Cost:

  • $50 per summer session.

Facility Access:

  • Total Facility access similar to that of current students.

Program Pass Option:

  • Total Programming similar to that of current students.

Guest Privilege:

  • One free guest per visit and up to two paid guests per visit for $5.00 each for facility access only; similar to that of current students.

Where to purchase:

  • Summer Activity Pass and Guest Pass will be sold Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the UREC Office (325) 942-2034 in the Center for Human Performance.

 Up and Coming Scholars/Mother and Daughter Academy

Who is eligible:

Cost:

  • No cost

Facility Access:

  • Up and Coming Scholars/Mother Daughter Academy card holders may utilize most UREC facilities, including the weight room, indoor track, gymnasium, racquetball courts, swimming pool and locker rooms, but not UREC programming.  UREC programming not open to these card holders includes intramural sports, fitness classes and outdoor adventures (kayak check-out, trips, and workshops).

Program Pass Option:

Guest Privilege:

  • One free guest per visit and up to two paid guests per visit for $5.00 each for facility access only; similar to that of current students.

  • Saturday Climbing Gym Pass and Guest Pass will be sold Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the UREC Office (325) 942-2034 in the Center for Human Performance.

  • ASU Alumni and community members

Cost:

  • Cost of yearly membership varies on the level of membership you purchase.

 User Group Saturday Climbing Gym Pass

Who is eligible:

Cost:

  • $15/patron (Day Pass) – for any Saturday when classes are in session and expires at the end of the semester which it was purchased.
  • $120/patron (Summer Pass) – for every Saturday during the Summer sessions (i.e. Summer I and II) when classes are in session and expires at the end of the Summer II session.
  • $150/patron (Fall or Spring Pass)  – for every Saturday during the long semester when classes are in session and expires at the end of the long semester purchased.

Supporting information:

  • All climbing passes include climbing gear available for check-out and staff to belay.
  • Climbers must be at least four years of age and able to fit into a climbing harness in order to participate.
  • Participants under the age of 16 will be required to wear a climbing helmet and must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years of age.
  • Climbing gym hours are:
    • Summer I and II – Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    • Fall or Spring – Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    • Closed during University Holidays and Breaks
