Transfer Credits and Programs
ASU accepts transfer credits from regionally accredited colleges and universities. Grades from all transferable courses will be used for admission purposes, but will not be calculated into a student’s cumulative GPA at ASU. Only transfer grades of C or above can potentially be used toward an ASU degree plan. Developmental, technical and vocational courses are non-transferable and are not calculated for admission purposes.
Associate degrees do not transfer to ASU, only the transferable credit hours. A maximum of 66 hours from accredited two-year colleges may be used toward ASU degree plans. (AU-ABC programs are an exception. See below.)

College Credit for Heroes
In May 2013, Angelo State University was selected to be a partner institution in the College Credit for Heroes program administered by the Texas Workforce Commission. As the only four year institution currently serving as a partner school, we are honored to be a part of the program which seeks to maximize college credit awarded to veterans and servicemembers for their military experience. This ultimately results in students receiving their degrees more quickly.
