TA Scholarship Information

Angelo State University (ASU) has begun offering a tuition assistance scholarship to active duty military who use their Tuition Assistance (TA) while attending ASU. The scholarship will cover the cost difference between what TA and any other gift aid* covers and the cost of tuition and fees for those courses authorized on the TA approval form. This will allow ASU to offer courses at zero cost to students using TA. The ASU VETS Center will be the central point of contact for all students interested in this scholarship. Mr. Russ Baker can be reached on Wednesdays at Goodfellow AFB Education Center in Room 209 between the hours of 1000 and 1300. Other times he can be reached at  or by phone at (325)486-6618. He can also be seen at his main office on the ASU campus in the VETS Center, Room 113 of the Houston Harte University Center.

*Gift aid includes grants and scholarships other than the tuition assistance scholarship. All gift aid shall be used to reduce the cost of tuition and fees after TA funds have been applied. If a balance is due after the application of TA funds and all other gift aid, we will cover the remaining balance with tuition assistance scholarship funds to reduce the balance to zero. If a student has sufficient gift aid to cover all amounts due after the application of TA, tuition assistance scholarship funds will not be applied.
