JJ Farmer

Hello! My name is Jacklynn Janjeil Farmer but I prefer to be called J.J. This is my first year working at the Writing Center and I could not be more excited. It's nice to sit down and talk with someone that is genuinely interested in the writing process. I encourage anyone and everyone that is puzzled or intrigued by this process to stop by and visit all of us at the Writing Center.

Although I carry a great love for literature, I refuse to pick a favorite book because I feel that no book should be judged by it cover. A favorite author, on the other hand, is hard to deny because I am a hopeless romantic, I will always have a soft spot for Jane Austen because of her contributions to the romantic literary world. As far as poetry is concerned, I would have to say it's a chore to make me choose between Sandra Cisneros and Emily Dickinson. My music of choice would have to be classic rock. I love a little Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Janis Joplin, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, etc.

Aside from attending school half time and working at the writing center I also hold down another job at the local bingo hall. Although it has been a rough road, my education is still lacking and I look forward to being the first college graduate in my family. I would like to continue my education within the graduate program here at ASU but, as of yet, I am still open to any suggestions.
