Science Classes are tough. You must be motivated!

You should plan on reading and studying every day to keep up. I have posted some study helps here.

Lecture Every day is important. You should strive for perfect attendance because good attendance is the key to good grades.
We will have activities or quizzes on many days and you must be in class to get credit for them.

Text Book We are using a new textbook, "Human Biology, Tenth Edition." A variety of online resources are available to help you learn on the McGraw-Hill web site.

Take advantage of them!

Blackboard The "Blackboard Learning System" will be used for posting grades and lecture material. You can access this web site from any computer. Your user name is your first initial followed by your last name and then possibly a number (for example mine is mdixon). Your password is your RAMS PIN number.

I will be using Blackboard to contact you via e-mail so make sure the address is an account that you check regularly.

LaboratoryYou registered for a 2-hour lab in addition to your lecture section. Your grade is based on your performance in lab and lecture.

Labs start when?

You need a copy of "Laboratory Manual for Human Biology, 7th Edition ".
You will also need access to the Lab Web Page.
