I have compiled a set of activities that will compliment the Science Days program that ASU is presenting to elementary students this year. These activities have been obtained from several educational websites. I can not make any claim as to how well these activities will work for your particular students, or as to their safety or effectiveness. This is simply a collection of activities that we think will help your students appreciate the program more. I have included the URLs for all of these activities so that you can refer back to the original webpage for more information, or different activities. You will want to work through these activities prior to having your students perform them. If you have any other science activities that you think other teachers would appreciate, please feel free to forward them to me so that I can pass them on to other educators in your field. My phone number is 942-2181 ext 250, my email is Nick.Flynn@angelo.edu.
These activities may be split between the categories on the following page. It would be ideal if you could work through most of these activities before your students attend the Science Days program, but I am sure that you have state curriculum guidelines to follow when you design your classes. You may also want to use some of these activities after your students have attended the science days program.
