  • Archer Foundation Gift for College of Health and Human Services
    October 8, 2015 - The Academic, Clinical and Student Affairs Committee of the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents has approved changing the name of Angelo State University’s College of Health and Human Services to the “Archer College of Health and Human Services.” The naming becomes official upon approval of the full board on Oct. 9.

  • ASU & Howard College Partner in New Mathways Project
    October 1, 2015 - Angelo State University has signed an agreement to partner with Howard College in the statewide New Mathways Project (NMP) to improve student success in both developmental and college-level mathematics courses.

  • Agriculture Faculty Awarded USDA Grant
    September 30, 2015 - Dr. Kirk Braden, Dr. Loree Branham and Joel (Dusty) Sugg of the Angelo State University agriculture faculty have been awarded a three-year, $41,649 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to implement dual-credit course offerings in the ASU Agriculture Department.

  • Ellery Wins Creative Nonfiction Award
    September 25, 2015 - Dr. Chris Ellery, a professor of English in Angelo State University’s Department of English and Modern Languages, has won first prize in the eighth biennial X.J. Kennedy Award for Creative Nonfiction administered by Rosebud Magazine.

  • ROTC Detachment Named Tops in Region
    September 24, 2015 - Angelo State University’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 847 has been named the 2015 High Flight winner as the top medium-sized detachment in the Southwest Region for the fifth time in the past nine years.
