Angelo State Athletic Training Education Program - CAATE Accredited (2006) (CAAHEP Accredtied - 2004)
The Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) at Angelo State University strives to prepare athletic training students for entry-level positions as a professional athletic trainer. The educational requirements are offered as a four-year program of study in conjunction with other educational requirements leading to a Bachelor of Science with an Athletic Training Option.
As an athletic training student, you will prepare for the Board of Certification (BOC) exam and theTexas Department of State Health Services Athletic Training Licensing exam. The ATEP allows for many experiences that will help facilitate learning within the curriculum. The program currently has 38 semester credit hours in athletic training education. Angelo State University has supported the development of this program and will continue to do so.
Angelo State University also has one of the largest endowed scholarships in the State of Texas. The Carr Academic Scholarship could help the student lessen the burden of the cost of a degree in higher education. The faculty and supporting volunteer staff all provide a unique experience during your career at Angelo State University.
