A place to make a difference
Angelo State University’s Student Government Association (SGA) is an entity that makes decisions that have an impact on the ASU campus as a whole. SGA projects and initiatives tackle everything from studies to strategy and planning of the university’s master plan.
SGA also gets the real-world experience of working with administration, faculty, and staff on the committees that shape our campus from all areas including parking, facilities, housing, food, finance, health services, academic programs, and much much more!
Furthermore, our Student Government Association serves as the primary liaison between the Angelo State University student body and the administration, faculty, and staff, as well as the Texas Tech University System.
Improving quality of life
About 50 students serve on campus committees and give their input about new ASU projects and initiatives. Senators serve one-year terms with elections in April. The SGA meets bi-weekly and includes positions for freshmen looking to get involved.
