Fraud Prevention

ASU has implemented a fraud prevention policy that includes a toll-free hotline at 866-294-9352 and the EthicsPoint website for employees to anonymously report actual or suspected acts of fraud against the university. This policy is in response to federal legislation (the Sarbanes-Oxley Act) and the Texas governor’s Executive Order RP-36. Individuals are encouraged to use the hotline to help detect and eliminate fraud.

You also may contact the State Auditor’s Office or toll-free telephone hotline, 800-TX-AUDIT (892-8348).

Fraud Resources

Training

Audit Services provides fraud prevention training to university departments. This training is intended to teach employees about how they can assist the university in preventing fraud while performing their daily responsibilities. Employees involved in fiscal operations are highly encouraged to attend. For a class schedule, contact Emily Knopp, ASU director of audit services.
