Employers visit the ASU campus throughout the academic year to interview graduating students and alumni for possible employment. To be eligible for on-campus interviews, you must have an active Jobs4Rams account with Career Development.
Setting up your career file is quick and easy. Go to the Career Development Office in Room 107 of the University Center, and the staff will explain the process to you. Or you can follow these quick easy steps. Once you have submitted your information, your account will be in pending status. After a Career Development member has reviewed your account, you will receive an email notification stating if your profile has been approved or rejected. If rejected, the email will state why it was rejected. Once you have approval then you can sign up for interviews.
By using Jobs4Rams, Students & Alumni can:
- Upload and manage resumes and career-related documents
- Search and apply for jobs
- Receive email and text reminders
- Access employer directory
- Choose to connect with social networking sites (Linked In & Facebook) & Job site partners (Internship.com & Career Rookie.com/Career Builder)
- Sign-up for on-campus interviews and mock interviews
Do your homework! Before signing up for an interview, become knowledgeable about the company or organization. Employers’ biggest complaint is that interviewees have not done enough research on the employer, the position or the industry. It is a lot easier than you may think. In most cases, the employer provides materials, and you can often find additional information online.
To research an employer, use Ferguson’s Career Guidance Center. Log in with your ASU network username and password. The ASU library provides access to this service.
Additionally, you can check out these employer profiles that include several companies and organizations that participate in ASU career fairs.
