Seminar Set Aug. 26 on Oil and Gas Royalties, Management
To help keep oil and gas royalty owners up to date on petroleum industry changes that could affect them, Angelo State University's Division of Continuing Studies is sponsoring an "Oil and Gas Management Seminar" Saturday, Aug. 26, at the West Texas Training Center.
Speakers on oil and gas management and legal issues will be Wana Dee Box, director of operations, Carr Foundation, ASU; Allen Gilmer, chief executive officer and co-founder of Drillinginfo.com; attorneys Walter Pfluger of San Angelo and David Wallace of Sonora, whose specialties include oil and gas law; Candice Upton, assistant director of operations, Carr Foundation, ASU; and Charles West, president of Clayton Title Services and a Texas/New Mexico landman.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with the program running 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 26 at the West Texas Training Center, 3501 N. Highway 67. The seminar will benefit mineral and royalty owners, oil and gas producers, educators, policymakers and oil and gas investors.
Topics will include "Mineral Management Basics," "Negotiating, Understanding and Interpreting Leases," "Surface Issues," "Division Orders, Unit Agreements and Ratifications," "Accounting and Production Verification" and "Scouting the Patch."
