TSUS Regents to Conduct ASU Business in Huntsville

Multiple construction projects for Angelo State University will be on the agenda when the Regents of the Texas State University System (TSUS) meet in Huntsville Thursday and Friday, Feb. 16-17, to conduct system-wide business.

The board will meet in various committee meetings beginning at 11:30 a.m. Thursday and then at 9 a.m. Friday in the Courtroom of the Criminal Justice Center on the campus of Sam Houston State University to conduct TSUS business.

ASU items will include selection of an architect for a new residence hall as well as for renovation of Massie Residence Halls and the Hardeman Building. An addition to the Carr Fine Arts-Education Building is also on the agenda as is a project to update the fire alarms in three academic facilities.

Other business will include routine curriculum, budget and personnel issues.

The TSUS board serves as the governing body for ASU and the other eight institutions making up the system. The other institutions are Lamar University, Lamar Institute of Technology, Lamar State College-Orange, Lamar State College-Port Arthur, Sam Houston State University, Sul Ross State University, Sul Ross State University-Rio Grande College and Texas State University-San Marcos.
