Physicists to Gather for Fun and Learning
Physicists will flock to the ASU campus March 23-25 for the annual joint meeting of the Texas section of the American Association of Physics Teachers and the American Physical Society, along with Zone13 of the Society of Physics Students.
More than 200 educators and students will attend the meetings, which are hosted by the ASU Department of Physics. Events will include a barbecue dinner and trivia contest for students at 7 p.m. and a star-gazing party at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 23. Students and educators will give oral presentations and poster sessions Friday and Saturday.
There also will be three plenary sessions featuring speakers from around the United States.
The oral presentations will cover a wide range of topics, including astronomy, religion and science, and physics experiments.
