ASU Choirs Present ‘Pops at the Pavilion’
The Angelo State University choirs will perform some of America’s favorite show tunes at their fifth annual “Pops at the Pavilion” concert Thursday, April 12, at the University Pavilion east of the high rise Concho Hall.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and is open free to the public. This year, the popular outdoor program will feature an array of well-known “showstoppers” from the Broadway hit shows “Guys and Dolls,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “The Pajama Game” and “A Chorus Line” performed by the ASU Chamber Singers and Vocal Ensemble.
The ASU choirs will be joined by Lee Middle School’s Rebel Rage show choir, who will offer their unique twist on “Bye, Bye Birdie” and “Singing in the Rain.” Choreography by Angela Hill of the San Angelo Civic Ballet will liven up the evening along with Dr. Pamela Lee, ASU associate professor of music, on the piano and Jason Gregg on drums.
