Country Music Artists Book ASU Concert Date
Country music star Dierks Bentley and his special guest Miranda Lambert will perform a live concert Thursday, April 26, at the Angelo State University Junell Center/Stephens Arena, 2235 S. Jackson.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the concert will start at 7 p.m. April 26. Tickets will be $20 for general admission and $10 for ASU students. However, ASU students will be limited to two tickets per person at the $10 price, with any additional tickets costing $20.
Bentley is a previous winner of the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Top New Artist award and his latest album, “Long Trip Home,” recently topped the Billboard country music album chart. The title song currently sits in the Top 10 of the Billboard country music singles chart.
His two previous albums “Dierks Bentley” and “Modern Day Drifter” were also top sellers, garnering him a Country Music Association (CMA) award nomination and a Country Music Television (CMT) Flameworthy Award for the breakout video of his debut hit song “What Was I Thinkin’.”
Lambert was a finalist on the 2003 “Nashville Star” talent search television series and is one of country music’s rising young stars. Her new video for the song “Famous in a Small Town” debuted this week on the CMT Top 20 and she recently received ACM award nominations for Top Female Vocalist and Top New Female Vocalist. She will be performing songs from her latest album, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” and from her debut album, “Kerosene,” for which she received both CMA and Grammy award nominations.
Tickets for the concert go on sale Thursday, April 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at the Information Desk in the ASU Houston Harte University Center and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena ticket office.
