Young Country Star to Headline April Club Café at ASU

Up-and-coming singer Jeff Allen will bring his hard-hitting country and southern rock sound to the final spring semester installment of Angelo State University’s Club Café coffeehouse series Wednesday, April 25, in the ASU Houston Harte University Center.

Allen will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. April 25, in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center. Admission price will be $1 at the door and all those who attend will receive a free Club Café mug. Coffee, cappuccino and other light refreshments will be served.

Allen was performing in Nashville clubs when he was diagnosed with leukemia in 2003. With the help of a bone marrow transplant from his sister, he made a full recovery and has gone on to open for several top country and southern rock acts, including Tracy Byrd, the Kentucky Head Hunters, Molly Hatchet, Ronnie McDowell and Confederate Railroad. He will be performing original songs from his new CD “Son of the South” that has not yet been released.

More information on Allen and samples of his music can be found online at http://www.myspace.com/sonofthesouth2006.
