ASU Concert to Present All-Time Jazz Favorites

The Angelo State University Jazz Ensemble will present popular jazz hits from the past 60 years during its annual fall concert, Thursday, Nov. 8, in the University Auditorium.

The Auditorium is located in the ASU Administration Building, 2601 W. Avenue N. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is open free to the public.

The evening’s musical program will feature jazz favorites by Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Gordon Goodwin, Dizzy Gillespie, Duke Ellington and Joe Zawinul, who was the leader of the group Weather Report until his death from cancer earlier this year.

The ASU Jazz Ensemble is directed by Dr. Timothy Bonenfant, assistant professor of music.
