Wind Ensemble Wraps up ASU Fall Concert Season
The Angelo State University Wind Ensemble will put a final note on the ASU fall musical season with its concert Sunday, Dec. 2, in the ASU Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.
The concert will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday in the EFA Building Recital Hall and is open free to the public. The program will include “Sonata Pian’e Forte” by Giovanni Gabrieli, “First Suite in E-Flat” by Gustav Holst and “The Black Horse Troop” by John Phillip Sousa. Daniel McCloud, ASU percussion instructor, will also be featured in his new piece “Transitions for Marimba and Wind Ensemble.”
The ASU Wind Ensemble is conducted by Dr. Reginald M. Houze, director of bands. Harris Brinson, ASU director of bands emeritus, will guest conduct “The Black Horse Troop.”
