Angelo State Honors Student a Finalist for National Award
Adina Schultz, a member of the Angelo State University Honors Program, has been named one of 10 finalists for the 2007 National Collegiate Honors Council Student of the Year Award.
Schultz is a Kingwood senior with a double major in German and kinesiology. According to Dr. Nick Flynn, head of the ASU Honors Program, she was nominated for the award because of her continued support and participation in program activities.
“Honors Programs from across the nation are given the opportunity to nominate students for this prestigious award,” Flynn said. “We chose Adina because she has been active in the Honors Program ever since she arrived at ASU. She participated in the Honors Student Association Fundraising committee and she is an Honors Program emissary.”
Also active in campus life outside the Honors Program, Schultz participates in the Baptist Student Ministry, intramurals and aerobics. She also spent a semester in Germany through ASU’s International Studies program.
