ASU Singers to Perform Downtown Concert
The Angelo State University Chamber Singers and Vocal Ensemble will present a one-hour concert of traditional Texas favorites Friday, Oct. 12, in the courtyard of D’Vine Wine, 113 E. Concho St. in downtown San Angelo.
The concert will begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday and is open free to the public. Presented in conjunction with the Miss Wool Parade and other special weekend events, the program will celebrate the spirit of the Old West with songs like “The Yellow Rose of Texas,” “Buffalo Gals,” “San Antonio Rose” and “Streets of Laredo.” Other selections will include Dmitri Tiomkin’s award-winning songs from “The Alamo” and “Giant” as well as the state anthem “Texas, Our Texas.”
