ASU Brass Choir to Present Fall Concert
Angelo State University’s brass ensembles and Brass Choir will present their annual fall concert “Night of Brass” Tuesday, Nov. 6, in the University Auditorium.
The Auditorium is located in the ASU Administration Building, 2601 W. Avenue N. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is open free to the public.
The evening’s musical program will feature traditional works composed and arranged for brass choir, including “Fanfare” from the ballet “La Peri” by French composer Paul Dukas; “Earle of Oxford’s March” by Renaissance composer William Byrd; “Largo” from the “New World Symphony” by Anton Dvorak; and the “Funeral March” from the musical drama “Die G�tterd�mmerung” by 19th century German composer Richard Wagner. The Brass Choir will also perform works by composers J.S. Back, Percy Grainger and George Gershwin.
The ASU Brass Choir is directed by Dr. Edward Surface, assistant professor of music.
