ASU Choirs to Showcase Boomer Favorites
The Angelo State University choirs will perform music of the baby boom era in the sixth annual “Pops at the Pavilion” outdoor concert Thursday, April 17, at the ASU Pavilion east of Concho Hall.
The concert, titled “Boomerang,” will begin at 7:30 p.m. April 17 and is open free to the public. The program will feature a collection of rock ’n’ roll hits from the Beatles, Bee Gees, Carpenters, Four Seasons, Elton John, Mamas and the Papas and others.
ASU’s Chamber Singers and Vocal Ensemble will be joined by Lee Middle School’s show choir, Rebel Rage, who will spice things up with their own perspective of the boomer generation’s music.
Refreshments will be served compliments of the University Center Program Council.
