Lulu LeFever to Sing the Blues at ASU Club Cafe

Sounds of sultry blues, old-school jazz and juke-joint swing will fill Angelo State University’s Club Caf on Wednesday, April 30, when Lulu LeFever comes to campus.

LeFever will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. in the Houston Harte University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center.

Admission price is $1 and all those who attend will receive a free Club Caf coffee mug. Coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate and light refreshments will be served.

LeFever has been entertaining audiences since 1994, when she left a career as a registered nurse to begin work on the first of six CDs.

LeFever has been compared to Ella Fitzgerald, Bette Midler, Cindy Lauper and Bonnie Raitt, but she brings her own style to the stage. LeFever and her band have opened for Willie Nelson and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
