ASU Music Faculty to Present Saxophone, Piano Recital

Angelo State University music faculty Dr. Tim Bonenfant and Dr. Eleanor Elkins will present a saxophone and piano recital Thursday, March 13, in the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building, 2602 Dena Drive.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Carr Recital Hall and is open free to the public. The program will feature music by composers Gary Schocker, Ryo Noda, Elaine M. Ross and Paule Maurice.

An assistant professor of music, Bonenfant teaches clarinet and saxophone and directs the ASU Jazz Ensemble. He is also a member of the San Angelo Symphony and the West Texas Jazz Orchestra. Elkins is in her first year of teaching piano at ASU, having arrived from Fort Lewis College in Oregon in the fall of 2007.
