Angelo State to Host Teacher Job Fair

Prospective teachers can take steps to enter the job market Wednesday, April 2, when they connect with recruiters at a teacher job fair on the Angelo State University campus.

The fair will be conducted 9 a.m.-noon April 2 at the ASU Junell Center/Stephens Arena, 2235 S. Jackson St. ASU teaching candidates, alumni and the general public are welcome to attend.

The fee for recruiters is $80 to cover each booth and lunch for two school representatives. There is no fee for attendees.

Check-in for recruiters begins at 8 a.m. and doors will open to prospects at 9 a.m.

Recruiters from 80 school districts as well as education service center representatives from Richardson and San Antonio will meet with candidates during the event. A separate interview area will be available during the fair for representatives to meet individually with prospects.

In addition to public schools and education service centers, recruiters will be attending from the ASU College of Graduate Studies, Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Austin and West Texas State School in Pyote. Past fairs have attracted 250 to 350 people.
