ASU Student Research Projects on Display Nov. 25

Both graduate and undergraduate Angelo State University students will present displays on 38 different research projects during the seventh annual Student Research Showcase, sponsored Tuesday, Nov. 25, by the College of Graduate Studies and the Office of Sponsored Projects.

Scheduled noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the C.J. Davidson Conference Center of the Houston Harte University Center, the Student Research Showcase will feature table and poster displays on the 38 research projects. Students will be available to discuss their projects with campus members and community visitors. Refreshments will be served and the event is open free to the public.

In all, 28 undergraduate and 22 graduate students participated in the projects under the direction of 20 faculty members from eight academic departments. The annual event highlights the breadth and complexity of ASU student research.

The academic departments of participating students are Art; Biology; Chemistry and Biochemistry; History; Mathematics; Nursing; Physical Therapy; and Physics.

The research showcase recognizes student contributions to the universal body of knowledge through their research and creative activities. The annual program also provides student interaction with community members who are interested in research activities on campus.
