ASU Retired Faculty to Visit Meat Lab for Luncheon
Angelo State University’s Retired Faculty Organization will hear a discussion about the ASU Meat Market and Meat Science Program on Friday, Oct. 17, during their annual fall luncheon.
The luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. with registration and a social hour followed by the noon meal and program at the ASU Farm’s Food Safety and Product Development Laboratory, 7945 Grape Creek Road.
Dr. Kirk Braden, assistant professor of animal science, will present a program on relative meat quality and preparation. Robert Cope, coordinator of meat and food service programs, will conduct a tour of the ASU Meat Lab.
Retired ASU faculty, administrators and their spouses are invited to attend the luncheon. Cost is $12 per person and checks should be made payable to the Retired Faculty Organization of ASU.
The luncheon will be catered by the ASU Meat and Food Science Association.
