Top ASU Graduate Students Honored at Annual Banquet
Angelo State University honored its top graduate students at the annual College of Graduate Studies Awards Banquet in the LeGrand Alumni and Visitor’s Center this past weekend.
The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the distinguished graduate student from each of ASU’s five colleges. Winners each received a plaque and monetary award.
The honorees by major and college are, Gina Councilman of San Angelo, accounting, College of Business; Shannon L. Sturm of San Angelo, history, College of Liberal and Fine Arts; Audrey Brynn Rich of Colorado City, reading specialist, College of Education; Cynthia K. Voyce of San Angelo, nurse educator, College of Nursing and Allied Health; and Danyelle Nicole Lee of Houston, biology, College of Sciences.
The other nominees for the top award were also recognized, including Matthew C. Coffman, Cayce D. Cowan, Jordan P. Cox, Deidra Ann Dallas and Kayla Suzanne Strain. Each received a certificate of recognition.
Additionally, all ASU graduate students who have maintained a 4.0 GPA after completing at least half of their graduate programs were recognized, along with those who have presented papers and won other awards.
