Angelo State University music professor Dr. Jeff Womack and four guest instrumentalists will present “Return of the Blazing Bassoon” Tuesday, Sept. 1, in the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building’s Eldon Black Recital Hall, 2602 Dena Drive.

Pianist Eleanor Elkins, an ASU assistant professor of music, and guest bassoonists from Abilene, Austin, Midland and Manhattan, Kan., will join Womack for the 7:30 p.m. recital.

The performance is open free to the public and will feature works for single bassoons by French composers Francois Devienne and Henri Dutilleux and English composer Gordon Jacob. Multiple bassoons will perform pieces written in a variety of styles by composers from several countries.
