Discover ASU Welcomes Prospective Students to Campus
Angelo State University will welcome prospective students and their families to campus on Saturday, Feb. 14, for “Discover ASU,” a day-long program designed to acquaint potential enrollees with the university and its numerous educational opportunities.
Discover ASU allows prospective students to visit campus and see what Angelo State has to offer in academic programs, facilities and opportunities for intellectual and personal growth.
Activities will begin with check-in at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Junell Center/Stephens Arena, 2235 S. Jackson. The general welcome session will begin at 10 a.m. to be followed at 11 a.m. by informational sessions covering admissions and a variety of professional programs, including nursing, pre-health professions, pre-physical therapy, pre-law and teacher education. There will also be sessions on how to select a major, the Honors Program and the Studio I student drama group.
Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m. followed by a student organization and academic department fair from 12:30-2 p.m. in the Houston Harte University Center and campus tours from 12:30-3 p.m. A free star show in the ASU Planetarium is scheduled at 2 p.m.
Attending students and their families will receive complimentary tickets to the ASU Rambelles softball game against UT-Permian Basin at 3 p.m. at the Softball Complex and the Rams baseball game against Southeastern Oklahoma at 3 p.m. at Foster Field. They will also get free tickets to the ’Belles and Rams basketball games against Abilene Christian at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the Junell Center/Stephens Arena.
