Arts at ASU Subscriptions Available
Angelo State University’s Arts at ASU program is offering single memberships for $30 during its subscription drive for the 2009-10 University Theatre and Music season.
The $30 subscription includes six admissions to University Theatre productions and advance notice of ten free music events. Subscribers pay $15 for dinner theatre to cover the cost of the meal.
The subscription may be used in any configuration, such as bringing a guest to the first production, thereby using two admissions and having four remaining. Reservation cancellations must be made in advance to preserve those admissions for a later production.
Tickets in addition to subscriptions may be purchased at general admission prices. The University Theatre box office is open 2-6 p.m. weekdays beginning 10 days before each production opening to accommodate subscribers. Memberships are sold throughout the year.
Productions for the season include Neil Simon’s “California Suite;” “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” (abridged); “Queen of the Mist;” holiday dinner theatre, “The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of a Christmas Carol;” the spring 2010 musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Carousel;” and “Eurydice.”
Advantages of subscribing to the Arts at ASU’s 2009-10 season include receiving notification by mail and e-mail in advance of all events. Subscribers may call for last-minute reservations to performances and can have their names placed at the top of waiting lists for sold-out performances.
All Sunday theatrical performances begin at 2 p.m. and all other performances will start at 8 p.m. Dinner theatre meals are served one hour before curtain time and doors open one hour and 15 minutes before curtain for all performances.
For more information, call the University Theatre at 942-2146 weekdays.
