ASU Brass Ensembles to Present Fall Concert
Angelo State University’s Brass Ensembles will perform classic works in concert Sunday, Nov. 8, at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, 1 Love St.
The 2 p.m. concert is open free to the public and will feature the ASU Brass Choir, under the direction of Dr. Edward Surface, associate professor of music, and the ASU Brass Quintet, coached by Dr. John Irish, associate professor of music.
The Brass Choir will present works by George Frideric Handel, Gustav Holst, Vaclav Nelhybel, Sege Prokofieff, Jan Koetsier and Gustav Mahler. The program for the Brass Quintet will include works by Percy Grainger, Nikolay Rinsky-Korsakov and John Wasson.
