Community Band Seeks New Members

The San Angelo Community Band, directed by Dr. David Scott, head of the ASU Department of Music and Fine Arts, is looking for new members.

The band is seeking instrumentalists from the area who play brass, woodwind or percussion instruments, regardless of experience. Current membership includes ASU faculty and students, doctors, lawyers, business people and military personnel stationed at Goodfellow Air Force Base.

In addition to a Memorial Day concert, the Community Band will perform three other concerts during the summer, including the warm-up for the San Angelo Symphony’s July Pops Concert.

Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. in the ASU Band Hall, inside the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.
