ASU Music Professor to Present Classical Recital
Dr. Tim Bonenfant, Angelo State University assistant professor of music, will present a clarinet recital at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21, in the Eldon Black Recital Hall inside the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building, 2602 Dena Drive.
Bonenfant will perform “Grande Sonate fur Klarinette und Klavier” by Charles Bochsa, “Time Pieces, op. 43” by Robert Muczynski, “Sonata in D” by Nino Rota, “Sonatina” by Bohuslav Martinu and “Pocket Size Sonata No. 1” by Alec Templeton. The recital is open free to the public.
Accompanying Bonenfant on piano will be Michael Schneider, a doctoral music student at the University of Texas at Austin. Schneider is well-known in the San Angelo area for appearances with the San Angelo Symphony and as creator and artistic director of the San Angelo Piano Festival, which had its sixth edition in March. He has performed numerous international concerts and won top prizes in national and international competitions.
