ASU Small Business Center to Host Women’s Business Roundtable
Angelo State University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host the 13th Annual Women’s Business Roundtable Event on Tuesday, Sept. 13, in the Cactus Hotel, 36 E. Twohig Ave. in downtown San Angelo.
This year’s event is titled “Connecting: The Best Step to Success” and will run from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Activities will include presentations by women business owners, vendor exhibits, networking opportunities, roundtable discussions, games, prize drawings, a dinner catered by Mesquite Bean Café and an array of delicious desserts.
The focus of the event is on the importance of networking, including online networking with social media websites and services. Keynote speakers will include Lisa Maciejewski, owner of Gold Star Medical, and Angie Conley, RN administrator for TLC In Home Care Inc. and owner of Scrub University.
Admission to the event is $20 per person, and the registration deadline is Sept. 9. A registration form and more information are available online at www.angelo.edu/services/sbdc/womensevent2011.html.
A limited number of vendor exhibit spaces and sponsorship opportunities are still available, and the exhibitor registration deadline is Sept. 2. Donations for door prizes and goodie bag items are also being accepted. More information is available on the event website listed above.
