ASU Small Business Center to Host Financing Forum
Angelo State University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host a forum on funding resources for small businesses on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at San Angelo’s McNease Convention Center, 500 Rio Concho Drive.
The forum, titled “Jobs Act Forum: Access to Capital,” will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 27 and is open free to the public. Local and area small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend to meet with representatives of various banking and financing entities and browse through the vendor fair. Free continental breakfast will also be provided.
Participants will learn about conventional bank loans, Small Business Administration (SBA) programs, micro-loans, revolving loan funds, mezzanine financing, equity financing and more. In addition to local bankers, speakers will include representatives of the SBA, Capital Certified Development Corporation, PeopleFund-Austin, Tom Green County Revolving Loan Fund, Texas Mezzanine Fund, Texas Economic Development Bank, Central Texas Angel Network and West Texas Coalition for Commercialization and Innovation.
