Texas Artist to Exhibit Works at ASU
Angelo State University will feature a public exhibit of paintings and wall reliefs by Arlington, Texas-based artist Nicholas Wood Sept. 29-Nov. 2 in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.
Wood’s collection is titled “First This/First That” and will be on display weekdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Art Gallery, Room 193 of the EFA Building. Wood will also present a gallery talk on his work from 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, in Room 101 of the EFA Building. Both the exhibit and the talk are open free to the public.
An associate professor of art at the University of Texas at Arlington, Wood earned his M.F.A. degree in ceramics from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and his B.F.A. degree in painting/ceramics/sociology from San Francisco State University. His work has been exhibited in regional, national and international exhibitions, and is included in both private and public collections.
