International Banquet Set for April 19 at ASU
The International Students Association at Angelo State University will host its annual International Banquet at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, to give the community a sample of the international cuisine and cultures represented by students at the university.
The buffet dinner in the C.J. Davidson Conference Center of the Houston Harte University Center will include food representative of 13 countries and entertainment from students representing seven countries. The annual event is not only a fund-raiser for the International Students Association, but also a way for the students to thank the residents of the Concho Valley for their hospitality.
Tickets cost $10 per person and will be available April 9-19 at the Information Desk in the Houston Harte University Center at 1910 Rosemont on the ASU campus.
Theme for the event is "Threads of Color." Countries that will be represented by foods at the banquet are Bangladesh, Bulgaria, China, France, Germany, Honduras, India, Mexico, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, and Zimbabwe.
The talent show will include dances, poetry reading, fashion and music from Bulgaria, Canada, Honduras, India, Mexico, Russia, and Trinidad and Tobago
